'Crazy Rich Asians' star Chris Pang calls Palawan 'one of the most beautiful places in the world'

Chris Pang of “Crazy Rich Asians” is having some fun under the sun in Palawan.

On Instagram, the Chinese-Australian actor shared photos of the island’s clear waters and the colorful sunset. He also posted a photo aboard a boat and one on a beach, tagging the Coron resort, Club Paradise Palawan.

Chris is evidently smitten with the island. He said in his caption, “Well this might be one of the most beautiful places in the world."

“[Even] the bats are beautiful here,” he added.

Among its many different awards, Palawan was named Most Desirable Island in 2022 by Wanderlust Travel Magazine.

Based on the book by Kevin Kwan, “Crazy Rich Asians” follows Rachel Chu (played by Constance Wu), a Chinese-American professor who travels to Singapore to meet her boyfriend Nick Young’s (played by Henry Golding) family. It turns out that the family is the richest in the country.

The film also stars Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh.

A spin-off titled “China Rich Girlfriend” is reportedly in the works.
