This customized camper jeep is perfect for a road trip

A man from Dasmarinas, Cavite created a Pinoy version of the camper van popular in United States—the camper jeep!

As seen in Kuya Kim's report on "24 Oras," Friday, Francis Amoroso came up with the idea to customize a jeepney, a common vehicle in the Philippines.

"Mahilig po akong manood ng mga nagtatravel, 'yung camper bus. Nabalitaan ko na 'yung mga jeepneys pa-phase out, kaya naisip ko po 'yung concept na bakit hindi puwedeng jeepney eh maraming available sa atin," he said.

Francis's camper jeep, also called Bahay Jeep, has a bed, a kitchen, a living room, and a comfort room.

"Meron kang sariling hotel, sariling CR, mas makakatipid ka," he said.

Francis said he saved up money every month and did the customizations little by little. In total, he spent around P500,000 for the Bahay Jeep.

The vehicle has traveled as far as Bicol, and Francis is planning to take it to more trips in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
