Nuwa Manila, The Peninsula Manila, and other PHL hotels get 5-star ratings in Forbes Travel Guide's 2022 Star Awards


Forbes Travel Guide, an independent global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants, and spas, recently unveiled its 2022 Star Awards, and several properties in the Philippines made it to the cut.

The 64th edition of the prestigious annual list features 323 Five-Star, 558 Four-Star, and 401 Recommended hotels; 74 Five-Star, 112 Four-Star and 67 Recommended restaurants; and 102 Five-Star and 193 Four-Star spas worldwide.

In the Philippines, five properties were granted a 5-star rating, six hotels were given 4 stars, and two hotels were recommended:

5-star:

  • The Peninsula Manila
  • Sky Tower at Solaire Resort & Casino
  • Marco Polo Ortigas Manila
  • Nüwa Manila at City of Dreams
  • Okada Manila

4-star

  • Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila
  • Fairmont Makati
  • Hyatt Regency Manila City of Dreams
  • Nobu Hotel Manila
  • Raffles Makati
  • Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila

Recommended

  • Conrad Manila
  • Makati Shangri-La, Manila

“Travel has come back strongly, and the resilient hospitality industry is creatively rallying to accommodate the increased occupancy demand for most regions,” said Forbes Travel Guide CEO Hermann Elger.”

“While the industry faces some lingering issues, the 2022 award winners proved ready for those challenges and more, demonstrating the best that luxury hospitality has to offer,” he added.
