A record-high of 12,159 tourists visited Boracay on Maundy Thursday, said the local government unit of Malay, Aklan.

According to Bernadette Reyes' report on "24 Oras," Saturday, most vacationers were domestic tourists.

The situation looked similar to pre-pandemic levels, with many people flocking to the beach and the markets.

Meanwhile in Aparri, Cagayan, people also went to the beach to relax during the holidays.

Other tourists visited the Bangui Wind Farm in Ilocos Norte and took pictures with the wind turbines.

Some Filipinos chose to stay in Metro Manila and went to parks with their families. Some enjoyed the rides in the Quezon City Memorial Circle and others spent the day in Rizal Park with their families.
