Nights of Lights Christmas village in Pampanga opens to visitors
Residents in Pampanga and nearby areas can now feel the holiday spirit with the opening of the Nights of Lights Christmas village in San Fernando City!
As reported live by Mariz Umali on “24 Oras” Friday, the Nights of Lights Christmas village, which is located at The Orchid Gardens Resort complex, features lit giant Christmas decorations, artificial snow, lanterns, and kiosks that sell festive food items including bibingka, puto bumbong, and batirol.
“Ito talaga kinonceptualize namin para naman itong mga taong napakatagal nang nakakulong sa kanilang mga kabahayan ay magkaroon naman ng lugar na pupuntahan nila at kahit paano ay makalimutan ng kaunti kung ano itong mga nangyari sa ’tin ng nakaraang taon, and this is also giving hope,” said The Orchid Gardens Resort owner Maureen Castro.
According to event stylist Archie Lagman Angeles, the Christmas village is a mix of modern and “Paskong Kapampangan.” “Makikita nyo si Santa Claus, ’tsaka ’yung parol natin, hindi mawawala ’yung parol ng San Fernando,” he said.
Resident Liezl Timbang Panis expressed her excitement as she visited the village with her young daughter Francheska.
“Para po makalabas, ’tsaka makita ’yung mga lights, maramdaman yung Pasko,” said Liezl.
“Excited po, masaya,” said her daughter.
Children are allowed to visit the Nights of Lights Christmas village, which is open daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Vaccination, RT-PCR, and antigen tests are not required, but health and safety protocols are strictly implemented at the venue. – RC, GMA News
