15 Philippine hotels make it to Forbes Travel Guide 2021 Star Awards
Despite the ongoing pandemic, Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards pushed through with this year's edition, and much like last year, 15 Philippine properties were recognized in this year’s Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards.
Of the 15 Philippine properties, six were given the highest rating of five stars, with Marco Polo Ortigas and Sky Tower at Solaire Resort & Casino receiving the five-star rating for the fifth year in a row.
Nuwa Manila City of Dreams continues its stint as a five-star hotel for four years straight, while The Peninsula Manila is keeping its five-star rating for a third year in a row.
Nuwa Spa Manila and Okada Manila complete the Philippines’ list of five-star accommodations.
Fairmont Makati, Hyatt Regency Manila, Nobu Hotel, Raffles Makati, The Retreat Spa at Okada Manila, Shangri-La at the Fort and Sofitel Philippine Plaza were given the four-star rating.
Conrad Manila and Makati Shangri-La maintained their recommended status from 2019.
According to Forbes, Tokyo in Japan gained more new five-star hotels than any other city this 2021 with four newcomers.
Service and care for their customers’ well-being takes up 75 percent of the establishments’ rating while 25 percent is for the quality of their facilities.
