Explore Oslo, Norway’s winter wonderland, in this virtual tour
If you feel like going on a fantastic holiday adventure, why not visit the Christmas capital of Norway?
In a special edition of its “Touristar” segment, “Unang Hirit” took viewers on a virtual tour around the many must-see holiday destinations in the winter wonderland known as Oslo.
From the safety of their own homes, viewers got to see what’s inside Oslo’s “Jul i Vinterland (Christmas in Wonderland),” where tourists love to go shopping during the holidays.
The market also has food stalls and a gigantic ferris wheel and carousel for both kids—and kids at heart—to enjoy.
The next stop was Baerums Verk, where charming little 17th century buildings transform into a bustling Christmas village come the Yuletide season.
Here, you can find what is known to be a Norwegian version of a Christmas bazaar, where locals go shopping for trinkets, glassware and furniture.
Finally, “Unang Hirit” stopped by the Korketrekkeren Toboggan Run, where tourists can enjoy a legit sled ride on snowy hills.
Get this: Admission is absolutely free, and you can either bring your your own sled or rent one on the spot!
