Looking for a fun getaway in the new normal? Here are 5 outdoor activities you can do in South Cotabato
Did you know South Cotabato is known as the Land of the Dreamweavers?
Apart from its rich culture and the ancient art of T'nalak weaving, the beautiful province located in the SOCCSKSARGEN region in Mindanao is also the home of many natural marvels and fun outdoor activities.
"Unang Hirit" took viewers on a virtual tour around the province, starting with the Punta Isla Resort where one can enjoy a spectacular view of Lake Sebu.
Since the lake is known as the "Home of the Tilapias," UH touristar Ariexia Quilinderino took viewers to its floating restaurant. Foodies can try tilapia-licious dishes like chicaharong tilapia, sisig tilapia, timampura, kinilaw na tilapia, sinanglay na tilapia, and pinaputok na tilapia.
Next is a walk through the fields of Eden's Flowering Farm.
With just a small entrance fee of P70, you can take pictures with the sweet-smelling flowers in bloom as well as enjoy a majestic view Mt. Matutum in the background.
"New normal" tourists can also fall in love with any of the seven waterfalls of Lake Sebu, where you can also try the "Tallest Zipline in Southeast Asia."
Of course, a tour can't be complete without trying the region's famous "Pastil," which is packed rice topped with shredded meat and wrapped with banana leaves. —Margaret Claire Layug/MGP, GMA News
