'Biyahe ni Drew' to answer travel FAQs in the new normal as it returns to air this November
"Biyahe ni Drew" is set to return on air and this time they will be traveling with a purpose, which is to inform the public on how and where they can travel amid the new normal during a pandemic.
In an media interview on Monday, Drew Arellano said more than traveling and working their mindset is "it's more of like an advocacy of informing people how to travel during these times."
"People are just paano nga ba 'to? Puwede ba 'to? Teka ano 'yung kailangan naming dalhin bago makapasok," Drew said.
"I think these are the questions na nasa utak ng mga tao ngayon. Puwede ba ang mga bata? So 'yun 'yung nais naming malaman mula sa LGUs at nais din naming mai-communicate sa aming audience," he added.
For their first few episodes, Drew said they traveled to places nearby Metro Manila including Bulacan and Subic.
Aside from experiencing firsthand what it's like to travel, Drew said they will also be "outsourcing stringers from far away places na kailangan lumipad para lang malaman lang din namin kung ano 'yung set up nila doon ano 'yung guidelines na kailangan sundan dun."
For episodes such as this, Drew said he will be hosting from home since he is not yet allowed to fly.
Meanwhile, for the first episode Drew revealed that they will be showing the beauty of Donya Remedios Trininidad in Bulacan which he said was surprisingly a gem to adventure-seekers.
"It was such a great experience and you know a lot of people know that I'm an outdoor kind of guy and I long for adventure. Apparently, 'yung DRT puntahan pala 'to ng mga adventure-seekers because nice elevation, nice road. People go their on their bicycles, motorcycles, 4x4 vehicles and whatnot," he said.
Drew reassured that their team follows their own safety protocols and adheres to the guidelines set by the local government unit of their destination.
