3 glamping sites you can drive to from Metro Manila
After spending more than seven months inside our homes, a lot of us are just raring to go out and travel. And while top islands like Boracay and Palawan have opened up, meeting the travel requirements just to get on a plane is a (bad) trip unto itself.
The solution? Hit the road and go glamping. Apart from having less hassle with paperwork, it's also less risky. You'll be in your own vehicle, headed to a place with an open air setup. And best: It's less expensive than all them island vacations.
1. Daang Hari Campgrounds
Located in Liliw, Laguna just three hours away from Manila is the Daang Hari Campgrounds. It's actually inside a Coconut Farm that boasts of stunning views, delicious food, and really being close to nature.
Apart from the P50 entrance fee, guests can choose from a variety of tents, which start at P150 and the most expensive being P1000. Each tent can accommodate two people.
2. Camp John Hay
Baguio's Camp John Hay has set up a glamping area where guests can book a night inside a spacious tent. There is an area where guests can chill and hang around the camp's bonfire and enjoy meals al fresco.
Each tent can accommodate a minimum of two people and costs as low as P3380/person. The package includes room and breakfast, bonfire and stores, refreshments ,and a guided tour around the camp.
3. Domescape
A luxurious way of enjoying the great outdoors. Enjoy traditional camping (nature, bugs and bonfire) without sacrificing a good night sleep.

Quite possibly the most IG-worthy of the three, Domescape in Batangas has cool orb-like tents also called geodesic domes with the great outdoors as its lobby. There are five domes, each boasting of different designs but all, nature-friendly.
The domes are fully air-conditioned and equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave ovens, humidifier fans, and a private natural swimming pool.
