Enchanted Kingdom to reopen in October
Enchanted Kingdom is set to reopen this month!
The announcement was shared in a post on the theme park’s Facebook page Friday. “Welcoming you back to our kingdom this October!” it said.
The post also wrote check mark emojis on “safety and health protocols” and thanked Santa Rosa, Laguna officials led by Mayor Arlene B. Arcillas, as well as representatives of the Department of Tourism, the Department of Trade and Industry, and the Department of Labor and Employment for their respective visits.
The exact date of the reopening, however, is not yet confirmed. “Don’t forget to check back via our official social media accounts in the coming days for more updates!” the announcement added.
Mayor Arcillas also shared on Facebook that her team visited Enchanted Kingdom prior to reopening. “September 30 inspection of one of the top tourist destinations not only in Santa Rosa, not only in Laguna but in the Philippines,” she said.
“Making sure when we open, safety & health protocols are in place #safetyfirstbeforeexperiencingthemagic,” the mayor added.
Laguna is now under modified general community quarantine along with some other provinces, while the rest of the country is in various levels of community quarantine.
More and more tourist destinations are reopening while beefing up safety protocols as the government aims to ease restrictions and allow businesses to resume at full capacity.
This even as the number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the Philippines rises to 334,770 on Friday with 2,996 new infections.
According to the Department of Health, most of the new cases came from the National Capital Region with 1,094. This was followed by Cavite with 282, Batangas with 166, Iloilo with 152, and Laguna with 147. – RC, GMA News
