Dreaming of Palawan? Here's what awaits the 'new normal' traveler

With its pristine beaches, natural marvels, and world-class resorts, Palawan is considered one of the best islands in the world.

But since many of us are stuck at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, "Unang Hirit" took viewers on a fun-filled virtual tour around the island and its "new normal" tourist destinations.

Of course, the Underground River in Puerto Princesa is at the top of the list. The subterranean river has been declared as one of the "7 Wonders of the World," as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The touri-star of the day, vlogger Kareeza Tullo, went for a swim at the famous Sabang Beach, and went on a boat ride through the Sabang mangrove forest.

Kareeza also took viewers inside the Ugong Rock Adventures park in Puerto Princesa, which is preparing to reopen its doors to tourists.

Visitors who wish to visit the island are expected to comply with several safety protocols like wearing a face mask, social distancing, temperature-taking, and hand-washing. They will also be required to fill out health declaration forms. —JCB, GMA News
