Glamping, anyone? Check out this IG-worthy Baguio camp site

A lot of people are excited to go camping in Baguio as the city has gradually started to open up to tourists on Tuesday.

In a live report on “Unang Hirit,” GMA News’ Darlene Cay showed viewers around a totally Instagrammable “glamping” area at Camp John Hay.

Guests can book a night inside a spacious and cozy tent complete with beds and a study table.

They are also welcome to chill with their friends and loved ones around the camp’s bonfire and eat al fresco at an outdoor dining area.

According to Zandro Medrano of Camp John Hay, guests can enjoy the full “glamping”  or glamorous camping experience for as low as P3380/person (Minimum of two persons).

The package includes bonfire and smores; room and breakfast; refreshments; and a guided tour around the camp.

Baguio has officially reopened to tourists starting today September 22, but with strict compliance to safety protocols amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The local government has laid out the requirements for tourists from Region 1 earlier this month.

Hotels are expected to operate at a limited capacity, while tourists are to be screened and must book their accommodations in advance. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
