Albay residents are so lucky this farm with incredible Mayon views is already open to them

While travel restrictions remain in place in the country, local hot spots have begun opening up to residents and even to tourists from nearby provinces, like Boracay to Western Visayas vacationers.

In Camalig, Albay, the El Miro De Shei Agri- Science Farm has opened to residents of the province.

YouScooper Gilbert Maloles shared irresistible pictures of the tourist attraction, showing nature in full bloom and with Mt. Mayon's perfect cone as backdrop. Tall trees, thick grass, a myriad of colorful flowers, the farm certainly looks like the perfect place to go to after the lockdown.

El Miro requires visitors to wear face masks and to observe social distancing, an easy-enough requirement given how spacious the grounds are. It has a P100 entrance fee which includes snacks.

A local tour guide affiliated with JAPS Adventure, Gilbert encouraged locals to visit tourists spots that are already open to them. "Sa ganitong paraan, natutulungan natin yung may-ari at mga empleado nila to keep their business and work going," he said.

Following a spike of COVID-19 cases, President Rodrigo Duterte placed Metro Manila, Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite, and Rizal back to modified enhanced community quarantine on August 4 to last August 18. — LA, GMA News
