Starbucks opens largest store in South Korea
Starbucks has opened its largest branch in South Korea!
To celebrate its 21st anniversary in the country, the famous coffee giant opened the branch in Gyeonggi-do on July 24.
The brand new store, located in Yangpyeong near the Namhan River, is three stories tall and spans over 1,203 square meters, according to Starbucks’ release last Wednesday.
The Yangpyeong drive-thru store is reported to be the first Starbucks branch in South Korea to “bring together a Reserve coffee bar, Teavana bar, and drive-thru format.”
“The result is a new experience for Korean customers that incorporates an interactive space with premium coffee and tea at the heart, featuring the ease and convenience of a Starbucks drive-thru,” Starbucks said.
The new store, according to the coffee chain, is a reflection of its commitment “to offering more ways for customers in Korea to enjoy the Starbucks Experience.”
Starbucks also shared that it had plans to invite local talent to perform on the new store’s rooftop.
