15 Philippine hotels make it to Forbes Travel Guide 2020 Star Awards
The Philippines continued its upswing in the Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards as it clocked in 15 properties in this year's edition, up by two from last year.
Of the 15 Philippine properties, six hotels were given the highest rating of five stars. For the fourth year in a row, Sky Tower, Solaire Resort, and Marco Polo Ortigas received the five-star rating.
Nuwa Manila City of Dreams is keeping its five-star rating for three years straight, while The Peninsula Manila is keeping their five-star rating for a second year in a row.
Nuwa Spa Manila is the first and only spa in the Philippines to be given the highest merit.
Okada Manila complete the ever-growing list of Philippine five-star rated hotels.
Fairmont Makati, Hyatt Regency Manila, Nobu Hotel Manila, Raffles Makati, The Retreat Spa at Okada Manila, Shangri-La at the Fort and Sofitel Philippine Plaza were given the four-star rating.
Makati Shangri-La and Conrad Manila maintained their recommended status from 2019.
This year's edition posted a record-high number of new five-star establishments at 107. Forbes recognized London as the city with the most number of five-star hotels.
