Boracay is voted best island in Asia
Barely a year after it reopened, Boracay lands in the top spot of Conde Nast Traveler’s 2019 list of Best Islands in Asia.
Philippines in fact dominates the five-point list with Cebu in number 2 and Palawan at number 4.
Malaysia’s Penang and Indonesia’s Bali complete the list.
The Best Islands in Asia is just a fraction of the magazine's longer list of Best Islands in the World, which in turn is part of Conde Nast Traveler's annual Reader's Choice Awards, a survey on pretty much all travel-related things — cities, countries, train rides resorts, hotels, you name it.
Speaking of hotels, a number of properties in the Philippines made it to this year's list. Included in this year's 50 Best Hotels in the World are Conrad Manila (number 45) and EDSA Shangri-La (number 46).
El Nido Pangalusian is among the Top 20 Resorts in Asia — for the fourth year in a row, if we may add — sitting at number 16 while Shangri-La Mactan is at number 11 in the same list.
