Palawan among the 15 best islands in the world, according to latest Travel + Leisure survey
From 6th place, Palawan moves four spots up to be hailed the 2nd best island in the world, according to readers of Travel + Leisure Magazine.
With a score of 90.87, Palawan was among the islands lauded for its beautiful coastline. “One reader called Palawan the ‘single most beautiful place I have ever seen’,” shared the magazine.
Palawan was only bested by Sri Lanka, with a score of 92.12.

According to the travel title, “readers rated islands to their activities and sights, natural attractions and beaches, food, friendliness, and overall value.”
This is the 3rd consecutive year Palawan makes the cut, appearing in the list since 2017. It was also previously voted the best island in 2013.
Palawan also leads the Philippine contingent in the magazine’s list of Top 10 Islands in Asia, as it lands also in 2nd place. Cebu is rated no. 7 with a score of 87.09, while Boracay is at no. 9 with a score of 86.90. — LA, GMA News
