Singapore's Jewel Changi Airport, with the Rain Vortex as center piece, is next-level wow
On April 17, Singapore made its airport something of a tourist destination when it opened the Jewel Complex (Jewel) inside Changi Airport. The 10-storey hub features 280 shops and eateries, and connects directly to Terminals 1, 2, 3 but leaving Jewel might be the last thing on any traveler’s mind.
Because look it: in the four-store Forest Valley section of Jewel stands the tallest Indoor waterfall at 40 meters high. Everybody, meet the majestic Rain Vortex.
"Amazing, wala na po akong masabi." YouScooper Sheila Santos, an OFW in Singapore shared her astonishment seeing the grandeur of Rain Vortex before her eyes.
The cascading waters of Rain Vortex can be seen through the day as the waters catch the beauty of the sunlight. As night falls, a light-and-sound show is projected through the waterfalls.
"Sobrang daming tao po ang napunta roon," Sheila said. "Nakaka-relax po pagmasdan, [most] our kababayans ay nagpupunta po roon," she trailed off.
Rain Vortex is accessible for viewing between 8am to 12:30am, perfect for when you're waiting for your next flight, a beautiful last look of Singapore. — LA, GMA News
