Pangasinan's Malangsi Fesitval: More than 100 people come together to grill about 88 lbs. of fish

Over 100 people participated in the fish grilling activity during the Malangsi Festival in Bayambang, Pangasinan.

According to an Unang Hirit episode, over 40 kilos or about 88 pounds of freshwater fish were simultaneously grilled during the event.

The report said that "Malangsi" comes from the word "malansa" and also refers to the kinds of freshwater fish such as tilapia, pantat and dalag.

Fish is the center of this festival as it aims to pay tribute and give thanks to the Patron San Vicente Ferrer for the bountiful fish harvest.
