Boracay has a new Italian restaurant and it’s all kinds of great
For merrymakers on their way to spend the Christmas holidays on the newly opened Boracay, a new Italian restaurant just opened and it’s all kinds of great.
Forno Osteria is located in the new wing of Discovery Shores in Station 1 and on offer is good ol’ Italian fare made better.
The Arancini Alla Bolognese (P390) is a filling appetizer that, coupled with the Ricotta Caprese (P360), announces you're about to have a fantastic meal.
Pizzas are freshly baked a brick oven, for instance, giving the thin crust a beautiful chew to it.
Seafood specials like the Rustic Clams ‘Brodetto’ soup (P360), the Linguini alla Vongole (P660), and the delightful Spaghetti Nero (P660) contain super fresh ingredients that drive home the point: you’re on a tropical island paradise.
But because Forno Osteria is from makers of the Manila’s famous Prime 22 Steakhouse, a slab of meat is a must-order here.
Guests ordering steak will experience the same impressive Prime 22 routine: the wait staff will present them a box of knives from which they can choose their weapon of choice to attack their steaks with.
Steaks at Forno Osteria are primed USDA Angus beef that are hand selected, aged, and seasoned. It starts at P2,200 (Filet Mignon at 250 grams) but a hot tip: Get a medium rare Rib Eye (500g/P3000).
End your meal with an order of the Olive Oil Cake (P320) or the good ol’ Tiramisu (P320).
If you booked a Signature Suite, head up to the 360 bar for after-dinner drinks and a 360 view of the world-famous beach. Otherwise, head out to the beach front and enjoy Boracay from the ground.
Cheers! — LA, GMA News
