'Bisikleta Iglesia': pedal and pray in Batangas
Instead of going through the usual Visita Iglesia this Holy Week, make your spiritual excursion more adventurous by biking through churches in Batangas City for the 5th "Bisikleta Iglesia."
The 52-kilometer pilgrimage will kick off on Saturday, March 24 at 5:30 a.m. and will be led by running priest Fr. Robert Reyes. OFM. as you go through a 52-kilometer religious and heritage tour which will be led by running priest Fr. Robert Reyes, OFM.
There will be seven stops including Sto. Niño Parish Church, Marian Orchard, Divino Amor Chapel-Redemptorist, Parish of Mary Mediatrix of All Grace; Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Monastery; Metropolitan Cathedral of San Sebastian; and Parish Church of St. Therese of the Child Jesus.
Registration fee is at P398 inclusive of breakfast, packed snack and buffet lunch.
You can choose to stay the night at Lima Park Hotel, incidentally, the organizers of the event, for just P3,472. It includes a maximum of four guests with breakfast for two.
Bisikleta Iglesia doubles as a heritage tour of Batangas, too, but if anybody doubts your intentions and calls it an excursion, remind your doubter this Visita Iglesia involves pedaling through 52 kilometers. If that's not sacrifice, we don't know what is. — LA, GMA News
