Manila's newest new luxury hotel brand debuts today
Three years since its launch, City of Dreams today puts to bed its flagship property, Crown Towers Hotel.
In its place is NÜWA, a new luxury hotel brand that debuts in Macau and Manila today as well, January 16.
The replacement is actually the first step in the preparation of the launch of the third phase of City of Dreams Macau.
NÜWA, inspired by the eponymous heroine from Chinese mythology represents classic Asian refinement, the press statement reads.
In an email to GMA News Online, Geoff Andres, City of Dreams Manila Property President further says, "NÜWA fully demonstrates the essence and value of Melco, continuing its commitment to providing the best quality and standard to its guests, always introducing new concepts and never ceasing to improve itself."
But apart from the rebranding – and the reopening of the always excellent, Michelin-star experience of The Tasting Room – there are no major upgrades planned in the short term.
Guests can still enjoy the full luxurious amenities that they’ve come to know and love from Crown Towers: there are still 254 lavishly appointed accommodations, offering guests a completely personalized experience and dedicated service by butlers in its spacious suites and villas.
The Crystal Dragon Restaurant is still operational in the upper ground floor, serving delicious Cantonese and regional Chinese specialties, as well as the delightful poolside restaurant Breezes.
According to the NÜWA website, room rates start at P14,000 a night, which should get you a 53-square meter Deluxe room with a king-sized bed with a 300-thread count sheets. The not-so-good news? The earliest date you can book a room for is on January 22, a week from today. — LA, GMA News
