A new reason to visit Vigan: Skydiving

Vigan City in Ilocos Sur is famous for its cobblestone streets, its preserved colonial houses, and its delicious bagnet and longganisa.

In a report on "Brigada," however, GMA's Mav Gonzales went to the northern city to strike one item off her bucket list: skydiving.

Skydive Greater Vigan, co-owned by actor Raymart Santiago, charges P18,000 for a tandem skydiving package that includes equipment rental, photo and video documentation, and a certified skydiving instructor.

After some practice on the ground and several safety checks, Gonzales soon found herself some 10,000 feet in the air with Santiago and her instructor Brad, ready to jump.

After enjoying the view from the top, Gonzales was able to pull off a "rock-star" landing—that is, landing on her feet.

While skydiving brings a rush of adrenaline to many people, for Santiago it also brings some peace of mind. "Pag nagsa-skydiving ako, parang nare-relax ako," he said. "Gusto kong iparamdam yun sa mga tao—kung ano yung nararamdaman ko." — BM, GMA News
