Boracay can be called cruise ship destination —port administrator

The world-famous Boracay Island in the province of Aklan can now be considered as a cruise ship destination in the world as the number of these tourist vessels visiting the resort island increases.

Quoting the port administrator, a report on "Unang Balita" on Thursday said that at least 10 cruise ships visit Boracay every year.

Last Tuesday, the report said, the Silver Shadow cruise ship of the Florida-based Silver Sea Cruises visited the resort island.

The Boracay port administration also indicated that the regular arrival of cruise ships is a big boost to the island's tourism industry. — LBG, GMA News
