Albay’s only white sand beach opens

To fight the summer heat, people either head to the malls or to the water. A report on GMA's “24 Oras” focuses on the latter—specifically, Albay's only white sand beach.

Pinamuntogan Beach has just opened in Bacacay, a coastal town about 20 kilometers north of Legazpi. Pinamuntogan boasts clear waters, big waves, impressive rock formations and fine, powdery sand—and Albay's tourism officials want to keep it that way, appealing for visitors to keep the beach as clean and pristine as it is now.



The report also visited Gunhuban Twin Falls in the town of Bato in Leyte, its cold curtain of water offering a refreshing respite from the rising temperatures. — BM, GMA News
