Quezon City makes it to 'Cities with World's Best Looking Men' list
[Updated 10:02 p.m.] Whether you wholeheartedly agree or disagree—whether or not "tall, dark, and handsome" affords you the kind of sinewy warmth to get you through the colder months—Quezon City is the seventh on the list of “Cities with the World's Best-Looking Men,” beating out Dublin, Ireland; Seoul, South Korea; and Cannes, France.

The 2013 list was made by Traveler's Digest, an online travel magazine.
Traveler's Digest went on to enumerate some of the finer points of Filipino men: "head-turning beach bodies," "romantic side," and "gloriously tanned skin"—but somehow, these sterling qualities still lost out to the "golden skin," "dark eyes," and the "rich, exotic accent" of the men of Havana, Cuba, who ranked number one on the list.
It is interesting to note that though both countries boast of their lovely beaches and male eye candy, not even the Filipino's reputed "romantic side" was enough to turn the tide in their favor.
Granted that Quezon City is a few land-locked miles away from the nearest beach, it's not called the "City of the Stars" for nothing, being home to GMA Network and ABS-CBN, the two major broadcast and entertainment networks of the Philippines. Naturally, beach bodies abound in this area of the metro—and unsurprisingly, GMA Network talent Dingdong Dantes was the article's top-of-mind example of a Quezon City hunk.
Dantes was named third sexiest man in E! Entertainment Television Hollywood's "25 Sexiest Men in the World" back in 2008.
Apart from acting, directing, hosting, singing, and owning his own independent film studio called AgostoDos (which brought the likes of "Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles" (2012) and "Segunda Mano" (2011) to life on the big screen)—a quick Google Images search of his name makes it easy to see why his title is well-deserved and why his shirtless chiseled body has graced many magazine covers and Bench ads.

Quezon City is also home to the likes of Jericho Rosales, Dennis Trillo, and Coco Martin—just three of the many talents who regularly make it on “most handsome” lists on the internet.
Other cities that have made it on the list include:
- Freetown, Sierra Leone (6th)
- San Juan, Puerto Rico
- Miami, USA
- Istanbul, Turkey
- Madrid, Spain
- Havana, Cuba.
