Filipino shoe designer Jojo Bragais introduces heels inspired by Chelsea Manalo
Jojo Bragais introduced his latest tribute pair just before the Miss Universe 2024 pageant — and it's inspired by Chelsea Manalo!
On Instagram on Wednesday, the Filipino shoe designer unveiled his creation, a pair of open-toe metallic silver heels called the Chelsea.
"Handcrafted and designed as a celebration of relentless dreamers and resilient underdogs, the CHELSEA pair embodies the spirit of those who rise against the odds in their pursuit of greatness," the shoe brand wrote.
"Chelsea, may you continue to Walk. Win all the way to the Miss Universe crown."
In the shoe brand's post, the Philippine bet can be seen sporting the high heels as she posed for the camera. Chelsea also wore a yellow corset, her Miss Universe Philippines 2024 crown, and a "Miss Jojo Bragais" sash.
Chelsea is the first-ever Filipino-Black American candidate to win Miss Universe Philippines. She is vying for the country's fifth Miss Universe crown.
The Miss Universe 2024 Preliminary competition will kick off on November 14 (November 15, Philippine time) while the coronation night will be held on November 16.
Meanwhile, Jojo is no stranger to the pageant scene locally and abroad. The young designer has come a long way, from being an official footwear provider of Binibining Pilipinas in 2015 to serving as the official shoe designer of the 69th, 71st, and 72nd Miss Universe pageants.
