Jennylyn Mercado teases Dennis Trillo as husband wears crop top anew: 'Ibalik mo 'yan ha'
Jennylyn Mercado could not help but tease her husband, Dennis Trillo, after the actor rocked a crop top for the second time.
On Instagram, Monday, the Kapuso Drama King shared a video of him wearing a blue shirt showing his midriff. He had two other companions in similar outfits and jokingly called them "kapusod" in the caption.
But apparently, Dennis only borrowed the top from someone else.
"Naghalungkat ka nanaman ng closet ko! Ibalik mo 'yan ha?" Jennylyn commented on the post.
Dennis previously wore a crop top during their family's trip to Disneyland. The trend was recently started by Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, who got praised by netizens for breaking toxic masculinity and challenging gender stereotypes.
Other male celebrities who copied Carlos include Olympic bronze medalist Eumir Marcial and Status by Sparkle star Bont Bryan or Master Hokage.
According to Nelson Canlas's report on "24 Oras," Monday, the crop top first became popular in the 1940s due to the lack of fabric supply back in World War II. It also became a trend in the 1980s when several boy bands wore it.
