R'Bonney Gabriel dons reconstructed skirt she made in 30 minutes at Paris Fashion Week

R’Bonney Gabriel is a queen of sustainable fashion!

The Miss Universe 2022 and the sustainable fashion designer said on TikTok that one of her looks for Paris Fashion Week was made with pants she got at a thrift store for $7 or approximately P390.

“Guys, I made this skirt in 30 minutes and I’m so proud of it, so I have to show y’all,” R’Bonney said in her video.

Her look is composed of a 1980s vintage Mugler jacket from the shop New York Vintage, but since there were no matching bottoms, R’Bonney got creative.

R’Bonney shared the thrifted pants were made of the same fabric as the jacket, which she transformed into a mini skirt in a jiffy.

“I made the skirt super fast. I literally just finished the hem right before going to Vogue Threads here in Paris,” she said.

The beauty queen added she was “so happy” with the skirt's result because she felt nervous about it initially.

R'Bonney just arrived at Paris Fashion Week and has been busy hitting fashion shows, creating content —  and finding a good croissant.

R’Bonney is known for wearing reconstructed clothes she designs. For her episode as a guest judge on “Drag Race Philippines” Season 3, she wore an outfit made with letters from her fans.

Early this month, R’Bonney walked the runway for Filipina designer Chynna Mamawal at New York Fashion Week.

R’Bonney launched her first Philippine fashion collection at Bench Fashion Week in August.
