Jin of BTS named the newest brand ambassador of Gucci

Jin of BTS is the newest global brand ambassador of Gucci, Women's Wear Daily announced in an exclusive report.

In a statement, Gucci's Creative Director Sabato De Sarno said Jin's "warm and kind personality is truly magnetic, and his style is simply unique."

"He is a generous and extraordinary artist who is able to move people with his music, which makes us even more honored to share this journey with him."

Jin has worn Gucci on several occasions, most especially since his military discharge. He called the luxury brand "iconic" with "a long-standing heritage and modernity.

"It is meaningful and thrilling to be a part of such a house," the artist said.

Jin got discharged from the military in June after serving for 18 months.

In a recent interview with Weverse Magazine, he said he is hard at work on his solo album. His first solo single, "The Astronaut" was released in 2022.

After his discharge, Jin held an event for the BTS ARMY wherein he gave out hugs and performed for them in celebration of the band's 11th anniversary.

Jin also served as the torchbearer of South Korea for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.

This August, the artist is set to star in his own variety show, "Run Jin."

BTS is set to reconvene as a group in 2025.
