Kylie Padilla's GMA Gala gown has an empowering story behind it

Kylie Padilla was a head-turner in her wavy pearl white gown at the GMA Gala on Saturday, and the story behind it just makes the whole look even better.

The Kapuso actress posted an Instagram Reel showcasing her gown. In the caption, Kylie wrote that the Ehrran Montoya creation was inspired by water nymphs and mermaids, and the designer titled it, “The Birth of Venus.”

As the designing process went on, Kylie said the dress’ meaning gained even more depth.

“Water is a symbol for healing, femininity and sensuality,” Kylie said of the wavy details.

With this, their vision became “an image we created of a heroine emerging from the depths of her deepest pain and sorrows.”

“From drowning she is reborn a Goddess, owning her power, her strength, her intelligence and her sensuality,” Kylie said.

The dress earned her the Best Dressed Stars of the Night award, a nod she shared with David Licauco.

Kylie is returning as Amihan in “Sang’gre” and has already started taping for the series.

She also recently became part of “Asawa ng Asawa Ko.”

Aside from being an actress, Kylie is a mom to Alas and Axl. In mid-July, Kylie confirmed that she is now in a relationship.
