Barbie Forteza’s GMA Gala 2024 gown is an ode to ‘Pulang Araw’

Barbie Forteza's breathtaking white ball gown at this year's GMA Gala is an ode to the upcoming GMA series, "Pulang Araw."

On the red carpet, the Kapuso Primetime Princess said the white ensemble by Mak Tumang "symbolizes the new look of 1947, which celebrated the newfound peace after the war."

"There are Sakura branches [in the gown], but the flowers are Sampaguita to merge Japan and the Philippines," Barbie said.

The Kapuso Primetime Princess appeared solo anew at the GMA Gala red carpet. She is among the headliners of the much awaited GMA Drama "Pulang Araw."    

Written by Suzette Doctolero and directed by Dominic Zapata, "Pulang Araw" will premiere on Netflix on July 26, three days before its television premiere on July 29.

Aside from Barbie, other cast members include David Licauco, Alden Richards, Sanya Lopez, and Dennis Trillo.
