Ysabel Ortega wears her mom’s accessories to the GMA Gala 2024

Ysabel Ortega looked like total royalty at the GMA Gala 2024 on Saturday.

The Sparkle Star was a vision in an off-shoulder fitted white gown with a mermaid train. But according to Ysabel, her favorite part of the whole look would be her mom’s jewelry.

“’Yung earrings ko and my ring, actually pamana sa ‘kin ‘to ng mama ko which came from the same set," Ysabel said. "So mukha siyang matchy kasi it’s the same pero actually, kinuha ‘yung pieces dito from the bracelet and then ginawa siyang sariling set.”

She added, “So ‘yun ‘yung pinamana sa ‘kin ng mom ko. I just love the story behind it lang kay I chose to wear it lang.”

Last year, Ysabel and her loveteam partner Miguel Tanfelix were unable to attend the GMA Gala because they were in San Diego Comic-Con for “Voltes V: Legacy.”

The GMA Gala 2024 is currently happening at the Grand Ballroom of Marriott Hotel Manila. It is the network’s annual thanksgiving celebration that gathers an expected 1,000 guests.

The GMA Gala also serves as a fundraising event for the benefit of the GMA Kapuso Foundation. This year, it is a celebration of Philippine pride. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
