Gabriela, ACT Teachers reveal SONA 2024 outfits of Brosas, Castro

Gabriela Women's Party and and Alliance of Concerned Teachers have revealed the outfits that will be worn by their respective representatives, Arlene Brosas and France Castro, at the State of the Nation Address on Monday.

Brosas will wear a black Filipiniana gown designed by Francis Yu. It will also feature artwork by Michael Joselo "symbolizing Filipino women's resistance to foreign military aggression."

Castro, meanwhile, will also wear an attire designed by Yu and also featuring an artwork by Joselo. It will be about "the call for salary increase for teachers and living wage for workers to address poverty in the country."President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. will deliver his third SONA at the Batasang Pambansa on Monday.

Vice President Sara Duterte previously said she will not be attending, adding that she is appointing herself as the "designated survivor."

In the United States, a "designated survivor" is someone who is kept away when officials in the line of presidential succession are gathered together to ensure that the Office of the President will not be vacated in case of catastrophe.
