Marian Rivera dons regal Filipiniana gown by Jo Rubio at 7th Eddys Awards
Marian Rivera looked every inch a regal queen in her white Jo Rubio number at the 7th Eddys Awards.
On Instagram, she shared a video of her wearing the modern Filipiniana gown, which had a silver accent on the front. It was fit not just for any queen, but the Kapuso Primetime Queen herself.
Marian wrote that she felt grateful and humbled to receive the Box-Office Hero award with her husband, Dingdong Dantes.
Aside from Marian and Dingdong, Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards was among the recipients of the said award, including Piolo Pascual, Julia Montes, and Kathryn Bernardo.
She also hailed the Filipino designer for her gown.
"A special shoutout to my dear Jo Rubio for crafting this exquisite modern Filipiniana gown that made me feel truly beautiful," she added. "Your talent is unmatched. Thank you!"
Marian paired her immaculate Jo Rubio gown with a white clutch and silver jewelry. She completed the look with pearl-colored nails, a neat, classy up-do, and light makeup.
Meanwhile, Dingdong sported an intricately embroidered ecru Barong Tagalog for the event.
Marian and Dingdong starred in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Rewind" in 2023. The film earned P889 million in worldwide sales and became the highest grossing Filipino film of all time.
Marian is set to star in award-winning filmmaker Kip Oebanda's "Balota," which will open at the 20th Cinemalaya film fest this August. She will play the role of Emmy, a teacher who serves in the election. Emmy runs into the wilderness with a ballot box, the last copy of the election results, when violence in their town erupts.
Last Friday, GMA Pictures dropped a gripping 15-second teaser video of "Balota."
