R'Bonney Gabriel wears top made of capiz shells in TernoCon 2024
R'Bonney Gabriel proudly flaunts her Filipino heritage in everything she does.
The Miss Universe 2022 recently attended the Bench TernoCon 2024, and she wore a top made of capiz shells paired with white baggy pants for her outfit.
On Instagram, the Filipino-American beauty queen said her top was designed by Anthony Ramirez.
"It brings me back to the childhood memory of the capiz shell wind chime we had at the front door of my house growing up," she said.
R'Bonney is in the country after hosting the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant last month.
She has been exploring her Filipino side with gusto, from eating Pinoy street food, to practicing her "tawad" game in Divisoria, working with traditional fabrics, riding a jeepney, and asking a neighbor for rice.
R'Bonney recently gave a tour of her dad's childhood home in Malate, Manila. While in the country, she also visited the Chocolate Hills in Bohol and hit the beach in Boracay.
The beauty queen is the first Filipino-American Miss Universe. She is also a sustainable fashion designer.
