Zendaya is a stunner in her Met Gala 2024 looks

Zendaya arrived at the Met Gala knowing that she would slay.

All eyes were on the “Dune: Part Two” and “Challengers” star in her edgy royal blue dress and emerald green dress. She wore a chic headpiece and a tulle one-shoulder sleeve, with her other arm embellished with rope, plants, and fruits.

Zendaya’s look was created by John Galliano, inspired by a 1999 Dior dress.

The actress then surprised guests at the red carpet for a second time. For her next look, the actress wore a black gown also by John Galliano from his time with Givenchy, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

The gown had a lace-up corset, off-shoulder sleeves, and a giant skirt that almost filled the Met’s staircase. Zendaya also wore a bouquet headpiece with multicolored roses and black tulle designed by Philip Tracy for Alexander McQueen back in 2006.

This year’s Met Gala follows the theme Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, which is also the name of the new fashion exhibit. It aims to present the multisensory aspects of fashion, that aside from the way a garment looks, also explore how they look, sound, smell, and feel when worn.

The official dress code is The Garden of Time, and personalities were expected to wear nature and botanical-inspired looks.

The Met Gala is an annual fundraiser for the museum’s costume institute and is also the opening of its annual fashion exhibition.

Aside from fashion icon Anna Wintour, Zendaya is one of this year’s Met Gala co-hosts and it is her first appearance at the event in five years. More include Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez, and Chris Hemsworth. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
