Beat the heat: What type of clothes will help you keep cool this summer?

Summer, oh summer!

While the Philippines has hot and humid weather quite all year, the heat hits differently every summertime.

Especially with dangerous heat indexes expected in several areas across the Philippines, we should do everything we can to keep safe, That means staying in cool and shaded places, keeping hydrated (and having fun along the way), and tweaking your wardrobe to keep your body. 

1. Wear white or light 

For Global Fashion Icon Heart Evangelista, her summer go-to’s are white clothes and airy dresses.

"We never suffer just for fashion. At the end of the day, you want to be comfortable, and when you feel comfortable you will look good," Heart said in an earlier report.

When outside, consider wearing light-colored clothing, which reflects heat, helping the body keep cool.

2. Keep loose

International apparel brand Levi's is throwing in loose-fitting clothes for women, to allow air into the body and maintain normal temperatures. Its summer collection features easy silhouettes and super soft fabrics to elevate one’s look this season without compromising comfort.

3. Consider the material

Maybe you'll want avoid polyster and nylon during summer. Because they are synthetic, they are not breathable, which means: they will definitely have you sweating.
