2024 Hair Trends: Quiet luxury is in, androgynous hairstyle is out
New year, new hair!
In 2024, the hair trends are all about the classics but with a hint of elegance.
In Wednesday’s episode of “Unang Hirit,” celebrity stylist Lourd Ramos shared his predictions for the hottest hairstyles and hair colors that will set the trends for the new year.
If in 2023, the hair trends were all about the revenge of loud hair colors and androgynous haircuts, 2024 marks the year of “quiet luxury” for the hair scene.
“It’s about being beautiful but gracing it with elegance,” Lourd said.
For women, we’ll see the rise of the hair color “brondy.”
“It’s the middle of beige, brown, and bronze,” the hair expert said.
For men, either they go for the extreme colors or go minimalist — no in-between.
“Coffee brown for men, or the opposite, walang middle, blonde,” Lourd said.
“We don’t want to highten up the normal color of black kasi parang sawa na ‘yung mga tao,” he added.
As for the hairstyle, Lourd said 2024 is the year to embrace blunt bob and voluminous curls for women, as seen on Michelle Dee, Hailey Bieber, and Zendaya.
“The blunt bob is a signature haircut na anyone can wear whether you’re Asian, Europian, or American,” Lourd said.
“It’s the basic signature haircut. It’s so quiet yet so luxurious,” he added.
For the men, seamless faded cut to long quiffs are in, as well as buzzcuts and undercuts.
In a previous report, celebrity hairstylist Mark Anthony Rosales said healthy hair “is the general vibe of hair trends this year,” meaning you must stop neglecting haircare.
