Pauline Amelinckx says Miss Supranational pageant one of her 2023 highlights
Her stint at the Miss Supranational 2023 pageant was definitely one for the books for Pauline Amelinckx.
On Instagram, the Miss Supranational 2023 first-runner up shared some snaps of her taken during the pageant held in Poland last July.
“What a year you have been, 2023,” the Filipino-Flemish model began.
Pauline continued by saying that her experience in the pageant was “definitely one of her highlights this year.”
Looking back, she said saw herself stumble, struggle, nearly fall and grow all throughout.
The native Boholana also recalled the love she felt when she was about to board the plane as she knew that she’d be gone for more than three weeks for the competition.
“I remember sometimes feeling homesick but the wonderful Supra Ladies would then help put a smile back on my face and realize why we were there,” Pauline said.
The 28-year-old beauty queen also gave a huge shoutout to Miss Malaysia, Deidre Walker, who was her roommate in her Miss Supranational journey; and to Miss Supranational 2023 Andrea Aguilera who gave her a pep talk during her most vulnerable moment.
She also reminisced about the time when she gave herself a pep talk saying, “you didn’t come this far only to get this far” when she didn’t feel well before the preliminaries.
“Such an experience transforms you. After returning I felt like a leveled-up Paupau. And I have so many people to thank for this transformation. The Empowered fam, Bohol, Aces and Queens, friends from different corners and so many different and talented creatives,” she added.
Pauline was named Miss Supranational Philippines following her third try at the Miss Universe Philippines pageant last May. She represented her home province of Bohol.
