5 Kapuso stars who launched their own retail brands

Gabbi Garcia, Marian Rivera, and Bea Alonzo

Being a business owner is not a walk in the park, especially if it's not the only thing on your plate.

While acting is already a full-time job, some celebrities still made it possible to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and start their own business ventures.

Despite the challenges of their busy schedules in showbiz, these five Kapuso stars-turned-entrepreneurs have proven that owning a business is possible, so long as you have enough drive (and patience) for it.

1. Bea Alonzo

Bea Alonzo recently launched her brand BASH along with its first collection: a line of aesthetically pleasing travel organizers that will make you feel like packing isn't much of a chore.

Since the "Love Before Sunrise" actress is a frequent traveler, her brand seemed like an ode to her being a jet-setter.

During the launch of BASH last weekend, another Kapuso jet-setter and global fashion icon, Heart Evangelista, came to support Bea on her new venture.

2. Gabbi Garcia

Gabbi Garcia is a Kapuso It Girl for a reason: she loves beauty!

The "Unbreak My Heart" star recently hosted a sneak peek of her newest business venture, Five Beauty, and her Kapuso bestie Barbie Forteza graced the event.

Since Gabbi has a hectic schedule from acting and being an ambassador of several fashion brands, she created a makeup brand that will get her ready in five minutes, hence the brand name. We'll tell you more about it when the brand officially launches!

Five Beauty is set to launch later this month. Pre-orders will exclusively be available through LazBeauty in Lazada, of which Gabbi is a brand ambassador.

3. Julie Anne San Jose

Last year, Julie Ann San Jose launched Mundane Club, a sustainable clothing brand she co-founded with her sister Joana San Jose.

The brand started with female clothes and then later on ventured into menswear as well. Of course, Julie's ever-supportive boyfriend, Rayver Cruz, had to be the face of the menswear line.

4. Marian Rivera

Marian Rivera is the CEO of Flora Vida, and it has grown from a simple flower shop into a lifestyle brand.

She launched Flora Vida in 2017 and expanded it in 2020 with a home line. A year later, the Kapuso Primetime Queen also added a linen and clothing line

5. Solenn Heussaff

Aside from being an actress, Solenn Heusaff is a singer, dancer, painter, and business owner of Solenn Manila, a lifestyle brand selling home products.

But now that she's already a mom of two, she has also ventured into baby clothes through Tili Dahli, a clothing brand she co-founded with her sister-in-law Anne Curtis.

The brand's name is a tribute to Solenn and Anne's daughters, Thylane and Dahlia.
