R'Bonney Gabriel takes final walk as Miss Universe in stunning Rian Fernandez gown

R'Bonney Gabriel looked back at the beginning of her pageant journey as she took her final walk as Miss Universe.

The Miss Universe 2022 came out in a stunning red gown created by one of her favorite Filipino designers, Rian Fernandez. A red headdress completed the regal look.

On Instagram, the Fil-Am beauty queen shared photos of the outfit and shared the story behind the design.

"A full circle design. When I won my first pageant, Miss Texas, I created my opening number dress from an old red blazer," R'Bonney said.

"Designer [Rian Fernandez] incorporated these designs into my last dress as Miss Universe and I couldn’t be happier about closing this chapter in a personal way," she added.

Rian also designed R'Bonney's evening gown during last year's pageant and this year's preliminaries.

R'Bonney crowned Nicaragua's Sheynnis Palacios as Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador on Sunday (Philippine time). Philippine representative Michelle Dee finished in the Top 10 and won three special awards.
