Nicole Borromeo stuns in Miss International evening gown competition
Nicole Borromeo is having a moment on the Miss International stage.
On Instagram, Bb. Pilipinas shared a video of Nicole during the evening gown competition of the pageant, "glistening" in a "silvermist blue-hued gown."
Nicole wore her hair in a low ponytail, her shimmery dress emphasizing her physique.
According to Bb. Pilipinas, Nicole's evening number, created by Dubai-based Filipino designed Furne Amato, is an homage to the Bantay Tubig, guardian of the seas and the Visayan counterpart of Sirens.
"The silhouette maintains the sleek streamline forms of these aquatic muses, and the details mimic the bioluminescence of aquatic life, mesmerizing and mysterious," Bb. Pilipinas continued.
"A mix of mesh net crystals, and Egyptian stones adds texture and dimension to the overall composition, and the translucent fringe finish creates the illusion of fins," it added.
For her national costume, Nicole transformed into a sea urchin.
