Gentle Monster, the Korean eyewear brand popularized by 'Crash Landing on You,' is now in the Philippines

Gentle Monster, the iconic Korean eyewear brand popularized by ‘Crash Landing on You’ is finally here in the Philippines.

If you can: Recall Yoon Se-ri's iconic oversized sunglasses, which she wore in her comeback scenes in South Korea? That's Gentle Monster — specifically the HER1 style.

It opened its first Philippine branch in Bonifacio Global City on Monday attended by celebrities and Key Opinion Leaders including Solenn Heussaff, Anne Curtis, Mond Gutierrez, Nadine Lustre, and James Reid, among other A-listers. Of course, they were all wearing their favorite sunglasses at the event.

Located on the first floor of Shangri-La at The Fort in BGC, Gentle Monster is open to the public beginning today. It unfortunately doesn't carry the HER1 style — at least we didn't see it on opening night — but there are plenty other trendy styles on offer. Gentle Monster sunglasses retail from P12,000 to P22,000. 

Founded by Jay Oh and Hankook Kim in 2011, Gentle Monster is a luxury eyewear brand based in Seoul, South Korea. Among the celebrities and designers who have collaborated with the brand include Jennie of Blackpink and Maison Margiela.
