Is it okay to use pull out clothes in a competition? 'Drag Race Philippines' queens weigh in

If you thought that episode one of "Drag Race Philippines" Season 2 was already full of drama, then you should keep your eyes peeled on episode two because there was a lot more in store for you.

One of the hot issues that the queens discussed was Veruschka Levels's fringe runway look which was the same costume that Binibining Pilipinas International 2022 Nicole Borromeo wore in the national costume category in last year's competition.

"Maganda 'yang outfit na 'yan kaya lang nakita ko na 'yan eh," Paolo Ballesteros said during the critiques in episode two.

"Sinuot na ni Nicole Borromeo, our Binibining Pilipinas Miss International. She wore that as a national costume," Mama Pao added.

In a D'Intervention viewing party held in Empty Stomach on Wednesday night, Deedee Holiday said there's nothing wrong with pull out or borrowed clothes.

"Not all of us can afford designers, there's nothing wrong with pull outs, and a lot of pull outs are actually fabulous," Dee Dee said.

Viñas DeLuxe agreed with Dee Dee, saying that even the Divine Divas, namely Precious Paula Nicole, Brigiding, and her, still borrow clothes from each other.

"Wala namang masama sa panghihiram, kami nga Divine Divas, nanghihiraman," she said.

Meanwhile, Tiny DeLuxe chimed in and said borrowing clothes is a way of practicing "sustainable fashion."

In the same episode, ØV CÜNT called out Veruschka for calling her runway look "couture."

"If you look up the definition of couture, I don't think pull out is part of couture," ØV said.

"Wala naman talaga akong problema sa pull out, it's just that if may ipagmamayabang ka, siguro dapat meron kang bala with it," she added.

In Veruschka's defense, she claimed that her runway look fits into her drag, albeit borrowed.

"They need to calm down [because] it's just the first runway. Wait because a lot of couture will come along the way, and they will see the real ones," she said.

In episode two, six new competing queens were introduced: Astrid Mercury, Bernie, Dee Dee Holiday, Hana Beshie, ØV CÜNT, and Veruschka Levels.

Their first mini-challenge included a photoshoot with a snake, with Veruschka winning the first task and taking home P20,000.

The six queens also performed their song "BOOGSH" as Vlyungangühveoux. Dee Dee and ØV earned good praises, while Bernie stood out among others, which led her to win P80,000 and the second Ru-badge of the season.

Ahead of its launch, "Drag Race Philippines" had a premiere night that was more than just a viewing party.

"Drag Race Philippines" Season 2 is now streaming on HBO GO and Wow Presents Plus.
