This 22-year-old designer unveils resort collection on the longest fashion runway in Bicol

Bicolano fashion designer Ellis Co just unveiled his 2024 resort collection in the longest fashion runway in Bicol, if not in the Philippines. It was 1,161 feet long in measurement.

Dubbed "Phases/Faces," the up-and-coming fashion designer showcased a 22-piece gender-neutral collection in a fashion show in Misibis Bay in Bicol.

According to the young designer, it's a 22-piece collection because it's an angel number.

"This collection is my most personal and most intimate one yet because the show [was held] in Bicol, which is my home province," Ellis told members of the press.

For Ellis, fashion should be gender-neutral, and he translated it through "Phases/Faces."

"We don't want to limit our clothes to a specific gender. If a guy wants to wear a dress, why not?" Ellis said.

As seen in the collection, "Phases/Faces" featured technical fabrics and denim from Japan to create functional pieces such as parkas, jackets, and cargo pants. Ellis also incorporated Abaca, a native product in Bicol, as accessories to the clothes.
