Ashley Ortega channels Barbie for 'As If It's True' press conference
Ashley Ortega is still on a Barbie high!
During Wednesday's "As If It's True" press conference, the Kapuso actress wore a Barbie pink mini dress with a mesh overlay. She finished off her look with soft curls on her hair and a Dior necklace as her statement accessory.
“Hi[,] Barbie!! Yesterday's look for "As if it's true" [press conference]," Ashley wrote in an Instagram post.
Ashley was joined by her co-star Khalil Ramos for the event.
"As If It's True" is an official entry to this year's Cinemalaya Film Festival from August 4 to August 13. It's directed by John Rogers and is produced by The Idea First Company.
Ashley previously said giving life to her character Gemma Stone in "As If It's True" is "another achievement unlocked" because she has been wanting to do a Cinemalaya movie to get out of her comfort zone as an actress.
"Filming this movie certainly made me love my craft more and pushed me further to the next level," she said.
Recently, Ashley starred in the figure skating series "Hearts on Ice" with Xian Lim. Khalil, meanwhile, played the grown-up version of Basilio in the historical portal fantasy series "Maria Clara at Ibarra."
Khalil is also doing a project with Maris Racal and has joined theater veterans in the Manila staging of "Tick, Tick… Boom!"
