Loren Legarda arrives for SONA 2023 in upcycled abaca from 1st senate term

Senator Loren Legarda wore an upcycled abaca dress from her very first term in the Senate when she arrived for President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s second State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday.

She walked the red carpet at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in an elegant terno with red, blue, and gold prints. She also accessorized with a pendant necklace.

Legarda first ran for senator in 1998 and won the highest number of votes in that year's election.

Marcos will deliver his second SONA amid the lifting of the national COVID-19 state of public health emergency.

According to his son, Ilocos Norte Representative Ferdinand Alexander "Sandro" Marcos, the SONA will last around one hour and 25 minutes long.

Classical opera singer Lara Maigue will lead the singing of the national anthem for the SONA.
