Herlene Budol shares national costume she would've worn in Miss Planet International

Herlene Budol shared the national costume she would have worn for the Miss Planet International 2022 in Uganda.

On Instagram, Monday, Herlene posted photos of her slaying a silver-blue number designed by Marbin Garcia.

The beauty queen said the costume includes a big ball that lights up, which symbolizes the Pearl of the Orient Sea.

"Eto 'yung Plan B na National Costume na dapat isusuot ko sa Uganda since na disgrasya ng Ethiopian Airline ang unang preparasyon namin," she said.

("This is the Plan B National Costume I was supposed to wear in Uganda since the first one we prepared was damaged by Ethiopian Airlines.")

Herlene was originally supposed to wear Patrick Isorena's "Karitela ng Kalabaw" but the costume did not make it to Uganda in one piece.

The beauty queen eventually withdrew from the competition after "uncertainties" from the pageant organizers. Miss Planet International was subsequently postponed to January 2023 and moved to Cambodia.

Herlene recently opened up on the difficulties she faced in Uganda, including a traumatic incident involving armed police officers.
